A Grand Re-union

Hi Folks,
We were nearly all there yesterday, Derek Gardner, Norman Fleming, Hughie Baines, Roy Clarke (the worker) , Richard Lawton and Yours Truly.
A few good jokes flew about, Richard told a corker that he had just received from his phone. Norman and Dave remenisced about the great goalkeepers of the past, and Hughie and Derek were glad that Billy Davis was seemingly staying at Preston. We hope it's an automatic promotion next year and not another playoff saga.
We concurred that the England Team still have a great chance of winning the world cup with or without Wayne Rooney, only Derek was not so sure. With Green no longer fit Frank Harrison had posted a suggestion that we have Monica in goal.
Dave A. showed the pictures of his class at school in June 1959 when he was 11 years old and never had a beard, and played a sound clip of the Virtual Chequers which will be added to the site when the technology is within the Cyber-slut's grasp.
Roy related how he went off with his Grade 3 in his car and that it broke down due to an electrical fault. After an intensive risk assessment, Roy suggested that he bypass the fuse to a control circuit and that he would sit in the passenger seat with the fire extinguisher.
We all left at about 3-30 ish and Judy and Richard drove me to the Kingfisher where I started to drink Stella instead of Miller, after another one in the Royal Oak I set off home at about 5-15.
The lakes trip is June 1oth, this year, on the same day as England face Paraguay. Picture at the top shows Hughie bathing his toes in lake Windermere shortly before he fell in.
All in all a good afternoon, enough for now see you all soon!!

Dave
